Prepare For The Oncoming Glut

Hi Readers,

In the next two weeks, starting Monday, I’m going to post a new recipe everyday. Its a little contest I’m having with myself and hopefully everyone will benefit.

In the meantime, ROAST YOUR VEGGIES. Buy fresh instead of frozen, lay them on a cookie sheet, cover them in olive oil and salt and bake at 400 for about a half hour. Your carrots will be sweeter, your cauliflower will have a delicious char on it and don’t even get me started about your beets!

One of my favorite dishes at one of my favorite restaurants (The Tin Table Restaurant on Capitol Hill, in the same building and floor as the Century Ballroom, ) is their roasted vegatable entree. It comes with a delicious slow cooked bean–either black or lentils–and that flavor with an array of roasted veggies makes me want to curl up in a blankie and purr like a cat!

More to follow and Roast the Veggies!
